With Dr Moreira’s experience with top level sporting clubs and physical fitness, you can be assured a caring and supportive procedure and recovery.
With a background in physiotherapy, Dr Moreira has always been dedicated to optimising patient outcomes. Driven by this commitment, he pursued further study in medicine and subsequently completed specialist training in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr Moreira consults privately at Epworth Richmond and John Fawkner Private Hospital. He also serves as an on-call Trauma Surgeon and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
He specialises in a broad range of orthopaedic procedures, including shoulder and elbow surgery, joint replacement, and trauma surgery. Dr Moreira is actively involved in education and mentorship, providing direct supervision and training to orthopaedic registrars and medical students from University of Melbourne, University of Notre Dame Australia, and Deakin University.
Dr Moreira has a particular interest in Shoulder arthroplasty, performing both anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements. He has undertaken advanced international training in Switzerland, gaining experience in the latest technologies and surgical techniques.
He values a collaborative, team-based approach to care and works closely with patients and allied health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
